The venue achieved a score of 96 out of 100 in the highest international recognition for excellence as a leading cultural and music venue
Euskalduna Bilbao has once again positioned itself among the most prominent venues on the international circuit after receiving the Platinum Award in the Music Venue category at the Global Eventex Awards 2026, considered one of the world’s leading recognitions in the events and experience industry.
The award, the highest distinction of the competition, was granted after Euskalduna Bilbao achieved a score of 96 out of 100 from the international jury. Euskalduna Bilbao was also the only candidate to receive the Platinum Award in the Music Venue category in this year’s edition of the Eventex Awards.
This recognition highlights Euskalduna Bilbao’s international positioning as a comprehensive music venue, underlining both the quality of its facilities and its versatility, technical capability and operational capacity to host concerts, musicals, symphonic productions and large-scale cultural events.
The jury, made up of international industry specialists, particularly praised “the exceptional technical capability, the strong cultural identity, the consistent programming and the high audience engagement”.
The jury also valued the venue’s management and operational capacity, including technical coordination, assembly times, logistics, backstage resources and the ability to host cultural and congress formats throughout the year.
Additional recognition in four new categories
The Bilbao Conference and Music Centre was also recognised for its outstanding work in the categories Event Production Security, Event Production Catering, Debut Event (for the in-house musical production Mastodophonika) and Brand Experience Positive Change (linked to the musical The Wizard of Oz).
This year’s Eventex Awards received 1,405 entries from 58 countries, a figure that reinforces the international and highly competitive dimension of the recognition obtained.
