The Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao will host the 18th National ANECORM Congress from October 1 to 3, 2025, bringing together more than 600 nurses specializing in the management of healthcare material resources. Under the theme “Supporting Excellence in Care through the Nurse Manager of Material Resources,” the congress highlights the strategic role of the profession in innovation, sustainability, and patient safety.
The opening ceremony will feature institutional representatives from Osakidetza (the Basque Health Service) and Bilbao City Council, and will begin with a keynote lecture dedicated to making visible the historical legacy of nurses.
Over the course of three days, round tables and presentations will address key topics such as applied research in management, transformational leadership, the humanization of care in critical settings, and efficiency in decision-making. Relevant regulatory aspects will also be discussed, from environmental legislation to the European regulation of medical devices, emphasizing the importance of a solid understanding of regulations to ensure safe and sustainable processes.
The congress will also feature practical case presentations from hospitals and health services across different regions, focusing on coordination between logistics, procurement, and nursing care, as well as the public procurement process. The closing session will be delivered by Carlos Hernández Fernández, with a talk on leadership and trust within the profession.
In addition, an exhibition area will host over 100 companies and 400 delegates, showcasing the latest technological innovations and consolidating this event as the leading national forum on the management of material resources in nursing.
