Euskalduna Bilbao has been awarded four gold prizes at the Global Eventex Awards 2025, consolidating its position as one of the most prestigious event venues internationally. Among the awards is the European Destination, a category that rewards the excellence of European destinations in attracting and organizing events, which Euskalduna Bilbao has received for the first time.
The jury, made up of leading figures from the MICE sector, highlighted Euskalduna's ability to integrate sustainability, commitment to the local community and accessibility into its activity. “Sustainability is in its DNA,” they stressed, also valuing the center's link to the history and attractiveness of Bilbao as a host city. The strategic focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was another of the most highly valued aspects, describing the project as “an inspiring example for other spaces in the sector”.
The awards are part of the 15th edition of the Oscars of the MICE sector, in which a record number of 1,239 nominations from 59 countries and 6 continents have competed. A highly competitive context that reinforces the value of the awards obtained by Euskalduna Bilbao.
