Euskalduna Bilbao concluded the 2025 fiscal year with a total revenue of €8,813,894.54, marking the highest turnover in the institution's history. These results underscore the robust operational capacity of the Conference and Music Centre, driven primarily by the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) and the sustained expansion of its cultural programming.

Furthermore, the activities hosted throughout the year generated an estimated economic impact of €111.75 million on the Basque GDP, reflecting the venue’s significant contribution to the hospitality, catering, transport, and auxiliary service sectors.

731 events, 88% occupancy, and financial stability

During 2025, Euskalduna Bilbao hosted 731 events, attracting a total of 398,656 attendees and reaching an 88% occupancy rate. The distribution of events remained balanced: 385 were professional meetings (MICE) and 346 were cultural performances. This synergy demonstrates the venue's versatility in maintaining a consistent and diversified year-round schedule.

From a financial perspective, the institution achieved a significant milestone in solvency, with a 295% increase in cash flow compared to 2024. This performance is attributed to operational stability, rising demand across all business lines, and the implementation of management criteria focused on efficiency and rigorous cost control.

MICE segment strengthens international positioning

The MICE sector remained a decisive pillar of activity in 2025, accounting for 43.17% of the total annual revenue. Notably, the international dimension of this segment has been bolstered, with 31% of MICE-related turnover originating from international events. This consolidates Euskalduna Bilbao as a benchmark venue in the global congress market, extending its influence well beyond the domestic sphere.

Cultural activity: growth and commitment to in-house production

The cultural department closed the 2025 fiscal year with a 12.31% increase in revenue over the previous year. This growth was driven by the stability of seasonal performances and a strategic commitment to in-house productions. Throughout the year, Euskalduna Bilbao developed 38 original productions, a strategy aimed at strengthening the local creative fabric and enhancing its cultural brand through international alliances and bespoke artistic proposals.

Social Engagement and Strategic Pillars

As part of its institutional commitment to social responsibility, the venue organized 76 free, accessible guided tours, hosting 1,427 visitors of local, national, and international origin.

These record-breaking results are framed within a long-term strategy defined by five priority axes: International Leadership and MICE positioning, Comprehensive Sustainability and responsible management, Cultural Innovation and strengthening the creative ecosystem, Digital Transformation, The Normalization of the Basque Language (Euskara).
