CIMIE, the International Multidisciplinary Conference on Educational Research, has brought together approximately 400 researchers who conduct scientific studies in education or on topics of interest to education annually since 2012. It is one of the educational research conferences with the highest proportion of papers that are subsequently published in indexed scientific journals, thanks to the excellence of the discussions held at the conference itself. Even in its early years, the conference was a pioneer in contributing the criteria of social impact and co-creation to European scientific research.
This year, for its 14th edition, we are honored to have Stefaan Hermans, Director for Policy Analysis and Evaluation at the DG Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the European Commission, as our Keynote Speaker. The selection of such a high-level speaker and from this field aligns with the conference’s focus on scientific, political, and social impacts, as well as on scientific research that contributes to the improvement of education and society.
Thursday, July 2, will be devoted to presentations and papers covering up to 14 different fields of study (such as Curriculum and School Organization, Physical Education, Sociology, and Economics, among others). Friday, July 3, will be devoted to presentations and papers covering up to 11 different fields (such as Inclusive Education, Research Excellence, Gender, and ICT, among others).
Participants have always highly valued the welcoming atmosphere of the conference. In addition to an extraordinary environment free of any sexism, racism, or disrespect, the discussions following the presentations always focus on collaboration and mutual support. This fosters synergies and future collaborations that ultimately prove highly beneficial to everyone. There is widespread agreement with what one speaker said: that at this conference, the truth of science, the goodness of values, and a beauty that matches the extraordinary Eukalduna Palace shine through.
