The symposium ‘Bizkaia, Creative Territory: Culture as an Economic Engine,‘ organised by DEIA, will convene institutional representatives and distinguished professionals from the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) on March 11th at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. The forum aims to analyse the strategic role this sector plays within the economy of Bizkaia.
The session will address how fields such as audiovisual media, music, performing arts, design, and digital content contribute to job creation, foster innovation, and bolster the territory’s cultural prominence. Furthermore, the assembly will reflect upon the challenges facing the sector, from corporate sustainability and the internationalisation of talent to adaptation within the framework of emerging technologies.
The event will feature institutional leaders and key stakeholders from the cultural industry, who will share their perspectives across two panel discussions. These debates will focus on the role of Bizkaia and Bilbao as hubs for creativity and economic development, as well as the future trajectory of cultural enterprises.
