The 1st International Congress on Immigration Law, Reception and Integration takes place at a particularly significant time. The implementation of the new Immigration Regulations, the European Pact on Migration and Asylum (PEMA) and the new scenario arising from the process of extraordinary regularisation of foreign nationals present major challenges and opportunities.
The decisions taken and the way in which these new legal frameworks are interpreted and applied will have a direct impact on the reception and integration processes of immigrants in the coming years.
For this reason, the Congress aims to go beyond debate: to generate shared knowledge and turn it into proposals that can be submitted to the relevant public administrations and competent authorities.
